All-on-4 Dental Implants
What are All-on-4Dental implants?
All-on-4 is a revolutionary approach which allows the total oral rehabilitation of teeth with the placement of only 4 titanium implants in each jaw, using a quick and minimally invasive procedure.
The four implants act as a foundation for a bridge, which allows the placement of a fixed set of teeth that look natural. This technique stabilises bone density and keeps the jaws healthy. By tilting the two posterior implants at a 45°, the All-on-4 method allows even those patients with virtually no bone to have fixed teeth without the need for bone grafting. The result is fixed (non-removable) natural-looking dentition, indistinguishable from natural teeth.
Some of the advantage of All-on-4
High success rates – up to 98%
Virtually eliminates the need for bone grafting, which is invasive, costly and uncomfortable for patients
Procedure is well tolerated and of a short duration – typically takes about 2 hours for complete oral rehabilitation
Can be used for patients with diabetes, osteoporosis or other health conditions that are often contraindications for bone grafting
All done in a single day – not only the surgery, but also the placement of fixed (non-removable) teeth with immediate function
Natural looking teeth that feel and function like your natural dentition
Hygienic – easy to maintain and clean
Cost savings – typically about half the cost of alternative techniques (bone grafting and the placement of more than 4 implants)
What to expect
Placing a dental implant is a quick, minimally invasive procedure. One of our dentists will guide you through a careful evaluation to determinate the best treatment plan for your dental needs. Using our specialised computer software we are able to place implants virtually on 3D x-rays to ensure ideal placement of implants at time of surgery. Your permanent bridge is made beforehand, so you can leave with your new teeth on the day!
Although you can smile and eat straight away, a soft diet is recommended for 3 months after the surgery.
